I was born in 1936. I joined the Royal Navy as soon as I left school at age 15. Over the next 25 years I was promoted to Chief Petty Officer and Radar Instructor. I moved to Suffolk, England to take up various training positions in the mid-80s in Property Management. After being made redundant, and a period of being out of work, my final job was as a Prisoner Custody Officer. Upon retirement I moved to Australia with my wife and our boys. I still live there today, and became an Australian citizen in 2010.
